Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will manage bookkeeping, vendor communications, and financial reporting, with a strong focus on QuickBooks. This role involves managing US-based financial transactions and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Categorize and reconcile transactions in QuickBooks.
  • Record payroll and taxes for US-based employees and contractors in QuickBooks.
  • Manage SaaS expenses, ensuring timely collection of invoices and payments.
  • Verify vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with contracts.
  • Communicate with US vendors about invoices, payments, and account reconciliations.
  • Resolve payment discrepancies and ensure smooth financial transactions.
  • Maintain a database of vendors and payment terms for optimized financial processes.
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Support financial audits by providing necessary documents and explanations.
  • Ensure compliance with US accounting standards and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably handling US-based transactions.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
    • Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online/Desktop).
    • Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Data Analysis).
    • Experience with financial reporting, account reconciliations, and payroll processing.
    • Familiarity with SaaS expense tracking and management.
